BK Pond is a blend of bacterial strains on a gradually soluble support designed to help lakes, ponds clarification and silt removing. It provides a curative and preventative solution to chronically or accidentally polluted aquatic environments.
BK Pond can also be used in aquaria.

The enclosed aquatic environments such as lakes and ponds are very unstable and complex systems. Because of a very poor water renewal, the urban or industrial pollutions have very strong impact and are very difficult to reduce. Hydrocarbon or detergent spills form a film covering the surface of the water, slowing down the oxygen dissolution and considerably damaging the biological balance. The absence of current also increases this effect and often leads to the aquatic faun and flora degradation.

Lakes receiving residual or simply running water with high concentrations of fertilizing compounds (azote + Phosphorus) will develop flora generating an excessive bacterial biomass using a lot of oxygen. The lack of oxygen and the excess of suspended matters will soon kill aquatic life, lake will silt up: This is the Eutrophisation.

BK Pond is designed for the biological and physico-chemical treatment of water.

Dosage / Directions for use

BK Pond depends on volume of water to be treated and pollutants to be degraded. However, an average treatment will require:

1. Lakes, Ponds and Ornamental basins:

Seeding: 250g/m2 of surface water
Repeat operation until complete clarification.

Maintenance: 120 to 150 g/m2 of surface of water
Apply maintenance dosage 2 to 3 times a year, preferably between spring and autumn.

2. Aquaria

A yearly treatment is generally sufficient spread over the surface of water to be treated.

BK Pond must be evenly spread over the surface of water to be treated.

Big Ponds

200kg to 300kg of powdered product per 1 hectare, of pond or lake. 300kg of powdered product for 1 km of river (10 m wide). Maintenance: 100kg per hectare twice a year.
