Why is Chlorine Dioxide suited to pools and spas?
Chlorine Dioxide offers several advantages over traditional chlorine in recreational water environments:
- Effective biofilm control across pipework, filtration and surfaces
- Does not react with ammonia to form chloramines, the cause of the typical “chlorine smell” and eye irritation
- Fewer disinfection by-products, including trihalomethanes (THMs)
- Stable across a wider pH range than chlorine
