Scotmas is proud to support a major water treatment installation at ABV Guarapiranga in São Paulo, working with SABESP on the deployment of Scotmas Bravo MX Chlorine Dioxide generation technology.
The installation supports Chlorine Dioxide as the sole pre-oxidation treatment of raw water at up to 16 m³/s, helping to transform water quality for approximately 30% of the population of São Paulo – a powerful example of the scale and impact of modern water treatment infrastructure.
Supporting one of São Paulo’s key water treatment sites
The project includes Scotmas Bravo MX Chlorine Dioxide generation systems, Chlorine Dioxide monitoring and technical support from Scotmas’ engineering and project teams.
Water quality, public health and environmental impact
Reliable water treatment is essential to public health, environmental protection and urban resilience. By supporting effective pre-oxidation and treatment optimisation, Scotmas technology helps contribute to a safe, reliable water supply for communities across São Paulo.
The installation also demonstrates how advanced Chlorine Dioxide technology can support responsible treatment strategies, helping customers manage complex water quality challenges while maintaining operational efficiency.
A milestone for Scotmas Brasil
This project is an important milestone for Scotmas in Brazil. It brings together local delivery, partnership working and the technical strength of Scotmas’ UK engineering team.
As Scotmas Brasil continues to grow, projects such as ABV Guarapiranga demonstrate the value of combining local market knowledge with proven technology and global engineering expertise.
Scotmas would like to thank SABESP, our local partners and the Scotmas teams involved in supporting this important project.
